Chart Thai Pattana Party spokesman Wachara Kannikar says his party is still happy to work with the Democrat in the current ruling coalition but points out political change can occur anytime, in response to the report that his party’s chief advisor Banharn Silpa-archa has met with Puea Thai Party to discuss possibility of forming a new ruling coalition with Deputy Prime Minister Sanan Kachornprasart as prime minister.
Mr. Wachara said he could not confirm the report whether his party’s chief advisor Banharn Silpa-archa did meet with Puea Thai Party to support Sanan Kachornprasart as prime minister to lead a new coalition.
However, he said it is not strange for such an influential political figure like Mr. Banharn to meet with anyone who wants to talk or consult him. He also said a political change “in theory” can occur unexpectedly anytime, which was how the current coalition government was formed.
The spokesman said the Thai politics is still unstable and changing, but Chart Thai Pattana leader Chumpol Silpa-archa has told him that the party is still happy to continue working with the Democrat.
