Puea Thai list MP Jatuporn Prompan, who is also core member of the anti-government red shirt group, has linked the M79 grenade attack at NBT building and the annual reshuffle of the police.
Mr. Jatuporn said the recent bomb blast in the capital was intended to divert the public’s attention from the police reshuffle news because he noted that the two bomb blasts last month, one at the King Power or Pullman Hotel in Soi Rangnam and another recent one at the NBT, do not appear to aim at people. The explosion at King Power, reportedly, hit the security guard checkpoint and the one in the NBT parking lot.
“The explosions are designed to mislead the public or to divert their attention from the police reshuffle as those who receive promotions have close ties to the Democrat Party. The government does not even fear that the approval of some new police promotions could damage our relations with Saudi Arabia”.
