“The government should dissolve the parliament and let people make decisions again because this government came from stealing action.

If the government thinks that the red-shirt has only a few supporters, they should try dissolving the parliament and wait for the result of the election. If the Democrat party wins, the red-shirt will accept the rules and stop movement.”

That is the latest signal from former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who raised this condition via the Voice TV station of the red-shirt network.

His strategy is to put hard pressure on the Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva while maintaining the election game.

Yongyoj Kaewkhiao, president of Village Headman Association of Thailand, confirmed that there would be a great number of people from the north and northeast moving to Bangkok for demonstration.

Therefore, the government should not instigate anger by looking down on the red-shirt rally by expecting only 10,000 or 100,000 protestors.

Even the monk, Phra Suthep Sithikhun, the abbot of Wat Sri Boon Rueang, Chiang Mai, has called on the monks to join red-shirt massive rally on March 14.

In addition, Prapath Phothisuthon, former Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister and former secretary-general of Chart Thai party, announced in the meeting with farmer representatives from 20 provinces in southern north and central region to join the rally.

The farmers of more than 20 provinces are facing falling rice price problem and called on the government to solve this problem, but the government could not do as promised.

The farmers are also ready to become the red-shirt supporters as they are in trouble.

Apart from that, the drought problem in Mae Khong River in northeast and in the north caused no cultivation; it is regarded as a situation motivating more people to join the rally.

The problem is how to control the game if there is a huge of red-shirt supporters.

Some experts have assessed that the ‘three buddies’ of the red-shirt could not control the situation.

The announcement to close the game within 3-7 days might imply that the master is afraid of lacking of funds if the rally is prolonged.

Regarding the game of People’s Alliance for Democracy (PAD), they had prolonged the rally at Ratchadamnern road for several months and even seized Suvarnabhumi airport, but they could not overthrow the nominee government of the master. But, luckily the political change came from the Constitutional Court’s verdict of the party dissolution case.

The red-shirt rally and Mr. Thaksin is fighting by capital deficit and no strong supporters, compared to the Abhisit-led government.

Therefore, the result as ‘drawing’ may be the best outcome they can hope.
