The Irrigation Department’s warning of an expected severe drought on the country's agricultural sector should not be taken lightly while all related government agencies are urged to work hands in hands to help minimize the impact.
In fact, most areas at risk of water shortages due to drought in water supply this year are the red-shirts’s dominated areas where the strong male workforce likes to come to the capital without even having to mention about drought problems. Now, it is even more convenient for pro-Thaksin group to persuade these workforces to join its rally in Bangkok.
This year the timing of the drought disaster expected to come sooner and lingers longer than usual is likely to coincide with the launch of strategies laid out to help Thaksin bring back his 76 billion baht asset apprehended by the state under the motto, “calling for Democracy, anti- elite forces”.
Therefore, the only solution to help prevent the rural workforce to come to join the red shirts force in Bangkok, prime minister Abhisit Vejjajiva must order all involving agencies, apart from the Irrigation department, such as those responsible for job training to help create income and jobs in the red shirts’ dominated areas.
So that, these unemployed workforce would not turn to be part of the red shirts’ movement to help the Master succeed in his mission to chase down his seized assets.
